Chapter 16: Battle and Message

Snoweagle was thinking about Lightkit. Again, she recovered, but was noticably weaker. Suddenly, Lightkit tumbled and did not get up.
           "Greypool..." She whispered. Snoweagle expected her eyes to close, but they were wide open.
"AAAAUUGH!" Lightkit screamed. Then was the time her eyes closed.
           "What.... " Said Snoweagle. "What...." Suddenly, Moss rushed out of her den.
           "Echofeather!" Moss screamed. Echofeather appeared suddenly, carrying some herbs. Then she looked at Lightkit. Echofeather glanced at Moss, then at something lurking in the bushes. She started to say something, but one of Fear's goons tore out.
           "You-" said Moss. "DID YOU DO THIS?!?!" She screamed. "LOOK what you have DONE!"
           "QUIET," Said the goon. Everyone present froze in terror. Raincloud, Cricketpaw, and Frostflight came back from the hunting patrol. They dropped their prey and ran over, glaring.  "I come with a message," the goon parked. "I am the new leader of Fear's Tribe."
           "Wh.....WHAAAAAAAATTT?" Everybody gasped. Wing came out of her den. Suddenly, she saw the branches rustle. And out comes Flamingpelt and another goon.
          "You have met Flamingpelt," said the new leader goon. Moss took a step forward. "This other one is Hate." Hate, on the leader goon's right side, had a pelt as dark as night and red, blazing eyes.
           "We will begin this 'talk' shortly." said Flamingpelt as she looked over Wing. Some goons were dragging Lightning out of this den. Hate sneered. Raincloud took a step forward.
           " I am Ruin." said the leader goon.
           " I suppose you have a VERY good reason for DRAGGING me out here." said Lightning, glaring at each enemy. The goons that dragged Lightning went behind Flamingpelt and Hate. What is going on? thought Snoweagle.
           " To make sure that you don't try to get answers," said Ruin. "I..will...give...you...THIS!" Ruin lunged at Lightning. A battle had begun. Snoweagle ran at Flamingpelt and began tearing at his fur with his claws. Flamingpelt slashed at Snoweagle's claws and Snoweagle let go. Flamingpelt lunged at Snoweagle's neck, but missed.
           "Take this! And that!" Snoweagle yowled as he swiped at Flamingpelt. "And some of these!" Snoweagle yelled as he tore at Flamingpelt's legs. but Flamingpelt dodged, and landed a long slice across Snoweagle's back. Snoweagle became enraged. Traitor! he thought was he sent Flamingpelt into the woods.
             "I'll get you! You just wait!" Yowled Flamingpelt as he disappeared into the woods. He looked over at Lightning, who was struggling under Ruin. Snoweagle slashed at Ruins back. Ruin turned around and slashed at Snoweagle's ear. Snoweagle drew up his claws to slash at Ruin's nose, but Ruin pinned Snoweagle down. What a weight! Snoweagle thought.
             "This ends HERE, kittypet." Ruin sneered. Kittypet... Kittypet... Snoweagle remembered Fireheart, one of Thunderclan's greatest. He was such a fighter, even though he used to be a kittypet. Fireheart did not give up, and neither should he!
              "I'm no kittypet," whispered Snoweagle. "I'm a WARRIOR!"
