Chapter 4: Kits and Kidnapping

Lightning looked at Moss. A old grey cat looked at moss. Well, EVERY cat looked at Moss. "I found him on the Monster Path, and he had no mom. I told him where we were going, and adopted him on the way." Moss explained. The grey cat looked at Moss. "Moss, you already have 2 kits, and Wing has three!" The grey cat shot back. "What would YOU do if you found a kitten with no mom, all alone, Dust?" asked Moss.
Dust had lost. Dust quietly disappeared down a hole in the ground. Does that go to a den? Do all the holes go to dens? Snowkit wondered. Lightning looked at Snowkit.
"What is your name?" Lightning asked.
"He's deaf." Moss said. "Dear, Put your paw on Lightning's throat and you'll hear him." Moss told Snowkit. Snowkit did as he was told, and he could hear Lightning as he repeated what he said.
"I'm Snowkit." Snowkit said. Three kits bounced out of a den. One was white with different colored eyes, one was pale blue, and one was golden-brown, like a cricket. A cat with wing-like patterns came out with them. Is that Wing? Snowkit wondered.
"Hi! I'm Frost." The white kit with different eyes said. " The blue kit is Rain, and the golden one is Cricket." Frost continued. "Our mom is over there. Her name is Wing. Are you gonna be a good playmate?"
Rain and Cricket came over. "H-h-hi. I'm Cricket." Cricket sure seems shy. Snowkit thought. Cricket looked thoughtfully at Snowkit. "Do you like to play?" She asked. Snowkit did not have time to respond, because Lightning bellowed, "Pride, the sun is setting. please go to your'e sleep-hole and wake to a new day."
Wing meowed, "This way." Moss followed Wing, and Snowkit followed Moss. Snowkit closed his eyes. What a day. He thought.

...

Snowkit woke up. there was no Moss around him, keeping him warm. He looked at Cricket, who was eyeing a Cream-and-brown figure. Oh no.. thought Snowkit as he looked up at the cat. It's FEAR.

AN: Sudden ending, right? Dust seems mean, the kits are overly friendly, and we haven't met Rain yet! What a day, what a day.
