Chapter 22: A deputy

Snoweagle trotted for the Tumblestones, the new place where clan meetings were held. He looked up to the top. Lightining stood proud. Snoweagle caught his eye and beconed him to come up with him.
"What do you want?" Snoweagle asked.
"How do you preform the cerymony?" Lighting asked.
"Ok. To get all the ctas attention you say, 'Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting.' " Snoweagle told him quickly.
"How do you appoint a new deputy?" Lightning asked.
"You start by saying, I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice." Snoweagle said. "Then, you say,  The new deputy of whatever clan is a warrior's name."

"Ok. Got it." Lightning said. As Snoweagle hopped to the bottom of the Tumblestones, he heard Lightning's voice. 
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beaneath the Tumblesones for a clan meeting!" Ligtning yowled. Moss, followed by Lightkit came out of the medicene den, followed by Slashkit and Echofeather.Other cats followed, until every cat in the clan was assembled under the stones."I say these words before Starclan, so that the sprits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice."Whispers echoed from the clan."It's Snoweagle.""Yeah, defiantly Snoweagle.""Who could be better?"Snoweagle Stared up at Lightning. Lightning opened his mouth to speak."The new deputy will be..."Frostflight caught her breath."Raincloud."Raincloud looked shocked. He stared at Lightning."M-me?" Raincloud asked, with disbelief."Yes, you."Lightning said. "I belive you are perfect for the job.""Raincloud! Raincloud!" Cricketpaw chanted."Raincloud!"Shouted Lightkit."Raincloud!"Shouted Wing."Raincloud!" Shouted Snoweagle.Raincloud blushed. "Th-thank you." He said."There is one last thing i have to tell you before this meeting comes to a end." Lightning said.All the cats turned to attention. "me and Snoweagle are going on a journey to the moonstone to get my nine lives. He knows where it is, so that is why he is coming along." Lightning told them.No... I don't know there it is. But i think it's in a mountain beyond Windclan territory?As all the cats left, Lightning walked over to Raincloud."while i'm gone, your'e in charge." Lightning told Raincloud."Okay." Raincloud replied. "I'll do my best." Lightning turned to Snoweagle. "It's time to go." he said.
